This painting was painted by the artist Joseph Matose. The style in this painting really stuck out to me. It doesn't have much detail but it captures just the way a sunset should be. The subject matter in this painting is not a lot, in fact it's just a bird and a sun, and the ocean of course, but that's what I think really makes the painting stand out. It's simple enough just to be able to reach out and feel the sun on the water. I also like the way it was painted with the texture still being able to be seen. And the color choice in the sunset are two of my favorite colors which just adds to why I like it so much.
